Nuts are a fantastic snack and make great flours when ground. But, nuts and grains do contain natural chemicals like phytic acid and enzyme inhibitors, which are irritating to our digestive system. Soaking and dehydrating nuts and grains mimics the germination process, and breaks down these plant toxins. Activated nuts have been soaked and dehydrated.
Of course, nuts can be soaked overnight, then dehydrated at home, but if you are looking for something easier, then purchasing them already activated saves a lot of time.
